Meet the maker

Hi, I'm Tiffany.

I run SweetPea Stitch from a tiny studio in Acworth, Georgia. By day, I teach fourth grade. In the quiet hours around that, I make soft, thoughtful pieces by hand, one loop at a time.

Tiffany, the maker behind SweetPea Stitch

How this started.

SweetPea Stitch grew out of the same part of me that loves teaching: the part that believes small details matter.

In my classroom, I spend a lot of time thinking about what might help one student feel more confident, more curious, or more seen. A chart on the wall. A small change to a lesson. A creative activity that makes something difficult feel a little more possible. That kind of care has always been part of how I move through the world.

Crochet became another way to carry that care. What started as a creative outlet turned into something more personal as people began asking for pieces with a story behind them. A stuffed animal for a child. A gift for someone going through a hard season. A custom piece based on an inside joke, a memory, or a small idea someone could not quite find anywhere else.

That is what SweetPea Stitch is now. A small handmade shop built around thoughtful work. Some pieces are ready to ship. Some are made to order. Some begin as a sentence in a message and slowly become something real. Every piece takes time, and I like it that way.

How I work

A few things to know.

Made with care.

Nothing here is rushed or mass-produced. I care about the small choices: the yarn, the shape, the expression, the feel, and whether the finished piece carries the idea the way it should.

Personal by nature.

The best custom pieces usually start with a story. It can be sweet, silly, sentimental, spooky, or somewhere in between. I will ask questions, think through the details, and help shape the idea into something that can actually be made.

Honest about the process.

Handmade work takes time. I will be clear about what is possible, how long it may take, and what details matter most. I would rather make something thoughtfully than make it quickly and miss the point.
